Artifact History

From Expo 86 - These items are part of a collection related the donors' involvement in Expo '86. Burke Taylor and his wife Sue Harvey specialize in the visioning, planning, development, financing and delivery of major cultural events. For Expo '86, Taylor was the Production Director for Cultural Programs at the Canada Pavilion, while Harvey was the Assistant Producer of Expo.

The Alberta Pavilion was about illusion. There was a large tower in the centre that would have photo projections on it in the evening, would have mountain climbers, or fake goats on it: it was constantly changing. The Pavilion also tried to be humorous and light hearted. The exhibits did not have much text, and the descriptions were "tongue and cheek". source: http://bobbea.com/expo-86/alberta.html
